I interview Sonja, a 43 year old who lives in NYC and 7 years ago left her job in high end interior design to start her own floral design business. She credits an effort to be kinder to herself as the inspiration for branching out on her own. We discuss the various emotional ties we can have to our debt and how getting rid of it is always more complicated than expected. In Sonja's case, this was a credit card debt strategy that came with a tax-season surprise.
